BTT TouchBar Widget icons not appearing

issue: unable to get touchbar widgets to display icons

details:

I'm trying to set up widgets in the TouchBar, I can't get icons to work, I've tried selecting an icon from:

  1. Image File; and
  2. From SF Symbols

I've tried selecting a few different icons but none of it seems to work. The widget in the TouchBar does not show any icons. Text labels work and show up in the widgets, but I would like to use icons instead, is this possible?

Update:

Just realized emojis and symbols worked as a great substitute so I achieved the look I wanted :smiley:

I love this app <3
