BTT start delay of a few seconds after longer sleep

Describe the bug
Unlocking the MacBook after a longer sleep, BTT is not started and takes about 5 seconds to start up.
Using the touchpad while BTT seems to be starting, so in the about 5 seconds before the icon appears in the option bar at the top, for anything other than moving the mouse is not possible.

Since programs like dropbox do not have the same problem and are instantly useable after a longer sleep, I think this is a problem related to BTT.

Restarting and updating BTT have not fixed the issue

Device information:

  • Type of Mac: MacBook Air, 13", early 2015
  • macOS version: 10.13.6
  • BetterTouchTool version: 3.099

yes, BTT reinitializes after sleep by restarting itself and it's services. It's currently necessary because BTT accesses some undocumented lower level stuff and restarting is the most reliable way to do that.

You can try the experimental fast restart options in settings -> advanced -> general (only in the very latest version)

Hi - I do not see this option (maybe it moved since your reply in June)

Hi David,

You should look at the Advance Settings section, then General. In your screenshoot you are at Touch Bar settings.

Hi
Still no "fast restart options" ...
