BTT can't search through triggers - search box disappeared from BTT GUI

After updating to BTT 6.185, the search box for searching/filtering through configured triggers in the BTT GUI is no longer visible. Previously there was a search field in the "Groups & Top Level Triggers" panel that allowed filtering triggers by name. That field is now gone - there's no text input anywhere in the trigger list panel to search or filter.

I am a longtime BTT power user. So, if I’m missing something utterly basic here, feel free to embarrass me.

Failed Resolution Steps: I've restarted BTT and rebooted my system. The search box does not reappear. I also checked the User Interface Settings for any toggle related to the trigger bar or search field but didn't find a way to re-enable it. I checked all release notes for recent versions (the GUI seems to have been refreshed slightly), but foudn nothing. I’ve searched this forum and found no answers.

Here is a screenshot showing what’s missing:

For reference, this post has screenshots showing how the search field appeared in earlier versions. Here is what it should look like when searching through triggers:

Affected input device: N/A — this is a BTT configuration UI issue, not input-device specific.

Device information:

  • Type of Mac: MacBook Pro M1 Max

  • macOS version: Tahoe 26.2

  • BetterTouchTool version: 6.185

Additional information: I'm a longtime BTT power user with a large number of triggers organized across multiple apps and groups. Without the search field, finding specific triggers requires manually scrolling through everything, which is pretty painful. Not sure if this was an intentional UI change or a regression.

thanks for reporting, that got lost during the UI migration! Will be fixed in a few minutes.
