BTT App Switcher not "deactivating" apps properly

Note:
Before bug reporting, please make sure you have tried the latest (alpha) version of BetterTouchTool and that you have already tried to restart your system :-). If you encounter a crash, please attach a crash log from the macOS Console.app's "Crash Reports" section.

Describe the bug
The video explains it better than I could, but basically there are two weird behaviors:

  1. Google Chrome (and chrome apps) don’t seem to get the “deactivate” message like the standard Cmd+Tab selector would “send” upon moving to another app (sorry I’m coming from Windows, I don’t think it really works that way on macos, but hopefully you get the idea). This leaves Chrome windows still looking like active, even when we moved to another app.
  2. When we select a window from LibreOffice, the app gets activated, but the window does not always get moved to the top of the list when we reopen the selector. Because I’m using it as an alt+tab replacement, releasing alt+tab will activate the second app, which assumes that the current active app has moved in the first position, but when it didn’t, some random window gets shown instead. I apologize if the two problems are not related; they felt to me like they could be very much linked under the hood.

Affected input device (e.g. MacBook Trackpad, Magic Mouse/Trackpad, Touch Bar, etc.):

keyboard, mouse
