BTT 6.550 upgrade changed Logitech MX Master 4 mouse cursor speed

I just upgraded to BTT 6.550 and after the upgrade the cursor speed of my Logitech MX Master 4 dropped significantly. I adjusted the cursor speed and acceleration settings in BTT’s mouse configuration to make it faster again, but it still feels different from how it did in the previous version, even with the same settings.

Did anything change in this release that could affect mouse speed, acceleration, or cursor behavior?

I found one Logitech-specific change that can make the cursor feel different on some mice, especially newer devices like the MX Master 4.

If you want to get back the exact old behavior, please update to BTT 6.552 (uploading now, will be available in 10min). Then open your Logitech Mouse Configuration in BTT and under “Mouse Speed” set:

Pointer Speed Mode: Use System Pointer Speed

Then click “Apply All Settings Now”.

This makes BTT avoid the newer Logitech HID++ hardware pointer-speed mode and use the macOS/system pointer-speed behavior instead that was used in older BTT versions. It also resets the mouse’s HID++ pointer speed to neutral, so it should be much closer to the old feeling.

If it still feels slightly off, try leaving Cursor Speed at your old value and adjust only Acceleration. A good starting point is 0.6875, which is the macOS-like default.

Thanks! Will try.
