BetterTouchTool deleted my presets 🙁

Bugs or Unexpected Behavior

I updated BTT to 4.585 and then tried to use the Finder Extension Feature and imported the example preset provided in it. I turned off my main preset for a second and made the new example preset as my default one. And when I tried to revert back to my main preset, it wasn't there :slightly_frowning_face: :slightly_frowning_face: :sob: . And now the example preset with just one finder extension preset is my main preset which is pretty much useless to me.

I do see it says Creating a backup but I couldn't get that file to open as btt preset.

@Andreas_Hegenberg need your help to quickly resolve this for me, else I feel I'm 50% productive :slightly_frowning_face:. Can you help me recover my main preset. I had not backed it up. I emailed you the log file as well.

i tried setting the extension of that file to .bttpreset but it doesn't work

I don’t know what happened in your case, but you can try to restore one of the automatic backups (Help -> Restore Settings from Backup)
