BetterTouchTool causes lag when switch desktop using mission control

Describe the bug
Every time when I use the BetterTouchTool for a while, the switch between desktop using the mission control becomes slower. The problem seems to get worse over time as long as BTT is running in the background.

Affected input device (e.g. MacBook Trackpad, Magic Mouse/Trackpad, Touch Bar, etc.):
MacBook Trackpad and bluetooth mouse too.

Device information:

  • Type of Mac: MacBook Pro (15-inch, 2017)
  • macOS version: High Sierra 10.13.5
  • BetterTouchTool version: 2.513 | 855

Additional information (e.g. StackTraces, related issues, screenshots, workarounds, etc.):
For now the problem can only be resolved by restarting my mac without opening BTT. I have tried killall Dock in the terminal too, which doesn't work.

Wow, this has been going on for a while, especially since I upgraded to Big Sur, and today finally I put my finger on the root of the issue. It is indeed BetterTouchTool... I.e. just quitting BTT makes my switching desktops/spaces (with 3-fingers gesture) completely "fluid" again!
I love this program, but I switch desktops ALL the time so it has priority! Would love for this to be solved...
