BetterTouchTool and the MacBook Pro With Touch?

Discussion about the new MBP with PROLED XDR Display and Touch (what a name) here

I have ordered one because obviously BetterTouchTool needs to support it. I have also already improved the touch support for floating menus, but I'll only be able to test once this thing arrives. Please post any ideas you have on what we could do with the touch screen

Honestly, I’m not keen on the touchscreen. I didn’t need one on Windows, and I certainly don’t want one on macOS (and I love the iPad). More importantly, though, this will divert your attention towards supporting the new hardware, leaving you with less time to polish and develop new features for the standard way of interacting with the system. :upside_down_face:

To be honest, my predictions have almost always been wrong in every respect. Many people say the Touch Bar failed because it was too small. Now it’s getting bigger. Will that make it better?

I can't comprehend the idea of touchscreen on a laptop, but I think drawing function / touch gesture could be more appropriate on it, it would be fun to see what happen when touch and cursor meet together

don’t worry, new hardware has always led to improvements throughout BTT - e.g. a LOT of things in BTT would not be possible today without the work that was done for the Touch Bar.
