I came here to ask a question, ended up answering it myself while compiling context, but am posting it for others (& perhaps bug investigation?).
I use BST’s “Move windows” shortcuts as well as the standard resizing shortcuts. I’d been experiencing an annoying behaviour for a while - if I use the ‘move windows’ shortcuts then the window would resize while being moved. (Yes, definitely not talking about the ‘Resize windows’ shortcuts, I use those also.)
I managed to narrow it down to using any standard window resize/placement shortcut followed by the move windows shortcut. If I manually resize a window then use the ‘move windows’ shortcut it would maintain its size. Which is restore behaviour & leads one to investigate the ‘Restore old window size if window is dragged away again’, but I never have this turned on.
Turns out the culprit was another restore setting just above ‘Move windows’: ‘Restore old size & position after doubleclicking again’, but I have the parent setting disabled, so I did not think this setting would be active, let alone even apply to the ‘move windows’ shortcut. (The action isn’t clicking at all.)
