BetterSnap not working on certain apps following upgrade to Catalina

Describe the bug
Since installing Mac OS Catalina, BetterSnap is now opening correctly. However, it will only work for stock Apple apps like Safari and Mail as well as MS Office. If I try and use it on an application like Todoist it doesn't work. Seems to be a theme that they may be Java based apps that aren't working. Notes has the same outcome, will not snap to anywhere.

I have tried re-installing and re-adding to Accessibility in Security. I have also rebooted :0).

Device information:

  • Type of Mac: Macbook Pro 2015 with touch bar
  • macOS version: 10.15 Catalina
  • BetterTouchTool version: BetterSnap 1.9

Mh it should work on most apps that allow resizing.

Could you check whether it works with my other app BetterTouchTool? (https://folivora.ai/downloads - you can use BTT for free if you have purchased BetterSnapTool, it has many more features than BetterSnapTool but it also includes the window snapping part). The reason I'm asking is that I have already made some Catalina changes in BTT that will soon also be available in BetterSnapTool. Would be good to know whether they fix your issue.

make sure to give BTT the screen recording permission in case you encounter issues.

I tried but it does not help. I gave all permissions for the application
