years ago you shared a nice way of taking screenshots. Due my refresh of BTT I lost this. Your internal module does not due the job as I was used tu.
- your module Configure Screenshot Options -> Capture Interactively: this loads a square first where I did my last screenshot last time.
- this I don't want. Your sharing was a different approach: pressing shortcut I get immediately the crossbar cursor and I am able to drag that square. Which is much faster.
May you share this again, please?

The default settings immediately show the crossbar, so basically you only need to select "Capture Interactively" but don't enable any of the checkboxes
That was easy!
Your for the first checkbox says about screen recordings, I wanted that, so I checked that box. Now I got what I didn't wanted, that static rectangle.
De-activating brings up that much smoother one.
Will create a 3rd trigger now for screen recordings.

unfortunately the system screen capture tool BTT uses currently only allows video capture using that toolbar. Maybe at some point I'll add a custom video capture tool with more flexibility.
my 2cents: just change the text and write the difference between the two. Cause the UX is massively disappointing - or satisfying. 
It's just a wrapper around Apple's screencapture CLI tool that makes the various options available via the BTT UI. Thus I'm also sticking to the Apple terms for now (Apple calls the toolbar "interactive toolbar" which can only be shown "in interactive mode")
If I add a custom screen capture tool in the future I will make it easier to use.
