Beta Tag on "Notch Bar" is Legit

I just purchased the Lifetime License for BTT based on a video I saw for the "Notch Bar" (or "Menu Bar" - whatever its called, the wording in the app is very poorly written..)

The thing really isn't kidding about the Notch Bar being a beta feature. Should note, I didn't know this when I bought the license, the video author seems to have fail to mention the beta part.

But there are so many issues with this feature; from the "Fixed" "Scrollable" areas not actually working. No matter what I set the Widgets "Item placement.." to, it always appears either furthest to the left or furthest to the right. Never in the "...scrollable area". Another issue, is that it won't work when the wallpaper is set to something that is white or whitish. The bar turns black, but then hides all my status icons, and app menu items.

Now the bar is appearing in the middle of the screen. This happens after waking from sleep. or If I load a preset or just randomly

Device information:

  • Type of Mac: MacBook Pro 16" M1
  • macOS version: 12.2.1
  • BetterTouchTool version: 3.742 (1884)

yes, the Notch Bar feature is in development and will become more stable in the next few weeks!

For the scrollable areas:
All containers have zero width by default and only get larger when adding items. So by default the left fixed area is 0 and the scrollable part begins at the very left.

The wallpaper thing is a limitation of macOS, BTT has an option to invert the status icons, but setting a darker wallpaper is better
