Awesome tool! How to toggle between BTT and default bar?

I just installed BTT and have a question. I would like to be able to switch between BTT and the default Touch Bar using a keyboard shortcut. For that I've set up the Toggle BetterTouchTool Touch Bar short cut under Keyboard with a key combination I like.

I only have one default set of buttons installed.

Now this shortcut does work when BTT is shown. I press it in any application and it changes to the default bar. However, when I use it again, it shows the BTT Touch Bar while I keep the keys pressed, but it reverts back to the default Touch Bar immediately after that.

Probably doing something wrong, but any way to fix this?

A workaround. I assigned a trackpad (!) shortcut to restart BTT. The Touch Bar will be back immediately after that.
