Hello!
I'll be quick:
I'd like to use an automator workflow that renames files from BTT Touch Bar, is it feasible?

you can use the predefined action „run automator workflow“, does that help?

It doesn't, tried it before signing up here. :frowning:
I use "rename finder items: add text" preset
which works if I run it from Mac OS,
while it doesn't if ran from BTT.

I tried BTT + hello world notification workflow - it does work.
but when u need to make action with selected finder items - wflows don't succeed.

I guess I should switch to apple script

that’s weird, it should work, I’ll have a look! Does it work if you save the automator workflow as an app and launch that via BTT?

IT WORKED!:

  1. let Ω be my automator workflow that operates with finder items
  2. In automator: Ω -> save as -> format:app
  3. In BTT:
    OPEN CURRENT FINDER SELECTION WITH SPECIFIC APP
    choose: Ω
  4. Mirth

Meanwhile, it takes a second, tbh, I'd rather avoid this gap. Could you be so kind to look into why regular workflow doesn't work, please?
