Automations: edited trigger/shortcut doesn't always work

a few weeks back, I set up “Automations” category with a Hot Corner to activate an app with CMD-K. that worked great.

but this week I edited that app to change its shortcut to OPT-CMD-K and also updated BTT accordingly. here’s proof that the edited trigger is saved correctly:

the bug is that BTT is still sometimes triggering the old CMD-K combo, which is evidenced by the Finder “Connect to Server” dialog box popping up. but then sometimes it works correctly with Launchie with the newly edited combo/trigger.

any idea how to stop this inconsistent behaviour after editing the trigger?

the edited trigger looks fine and that one also would post the correct key codes as the code for rendering the UI and generating the event is basically the same.

Maybe some other trigger is interfering? Best check the recently used section in BetterTouchTool to see whether something else is triggering.
