I'm currently using Raycast app for Spotlight-like functionality.[1] Raycast has a paid plans Plus and Advanced AI. Their AI functionality is quite similar to BetterTouchTool capabilities. They just have more models to choose and better UX.
I'm confident BetterTouchTool can become better than them in the AI game.
Couple of things that come to mind:
- Allow choosing LLM model, not just OpenAI ChatGPT. These days Claude 3.7 Sonnet seems to be the best for coding, while Gemini 2.5 Pro is also up there in the top few spots.
- Provide better feedback, maybe in the center of the screen instead of mouse cursor (mini HUD) while generating the response
That's pretty much it! I believe with these two changes I can achieve with BetterTouchTool everything I currently do with Raycast.
