Application Switcher not working as it used to

Describe the bug
I used the legacy BTT for a while, mainly for the tip tap application switcher which I really liked. With the new version, it doesn't behave as it used to. It doesn't switch to the app once the gesture is released but instead the app switcher stays open. Plus it always activates the new Apple Intelligence Siri when I do the tip tap.
I enabled the "Use gesture mode" for the application switcher

Affected input device (e.g. MacBook Trackpad, Magic Mouse/Trackpad, Touch Bar, etc.):
MacBook Pro M4 Sonoma Trackpad + Magic Mouse

Device information:

  • Type of Mac: MacBook Pro M4
  • macOS version: 15.1
  • BetterTouchTool version: 4.846

Make sure to enable gesture mode:

However I don't know about your Siri issue, this sounds like something might be configured incorrectly.

Thanks for the fast response!
As mentioned in the bug report, I do have it enabled.

Then there might be something else that is interfering, do you have any other app switcher apps or similar?

I just checked with a fresh installation but it is working as expected here. When doing the tip tap it shows the switcher, when doing another tap it goes to the next app, when releasing all fingers it hides the App Switcher and switches to the app.

Do you have any keyboard keys pressed while you do the tip tap?

No, I have a completely fresh install of the system. and only very few apps installed. Did you test using sequoia? Do you have the new Apple Intelligence yet? maybe that Siri command is interrupting it somehow?

Should I do some screen recording for you maybe or what else could help?

Yes, I'm also on sequoia (but without Apple Intelligence).

Does it work as expected when pressing cmd+tab manually?

Does the configuration here look the same for you?

Good hint! I saw that there is some seemingly unrelated shortcut set. I now changed it to something else and now it's working! Thanks!
Might be interesting for future reports (with shortcut of second image it works):

a great, thanks for the screenshots!

Thanks for your quick response! I marked my answer as the solution!
