Apple broke BTT clipboard history with the Tahoe beta update.

Hi @Andreas_Hegenberg, Any workaround for this issue? The BTT clipboard history is broken on Tahoe. I know it's my mistake to update my macOS to the beta, but that's what happened, lol. I hope you have a fix for those on Tahoe.

there is a new privacy setting that manages whether apps can access the clipboard. I'm currently not on my Tahoe machine but it should be similar to this:

(I might be partially responsible for this setting because I reported a critical security vulnerability that could trick the system into copying sensitive data to the clipboard - and that could only be exploited because any apps could access the clipboard without confirmation NVD - cve-2025-24241)

Ah, can't find this option lol

The real issue is that they broke the UI of the clipboard manager.

ah weird it worked fine on the last beta I used.
But yes I see why that might be happening, I'll need to fix it, there is probably no real workaround for now. Unfortunately I will only get to the Tahoe stuff in 1-2 weeks.

You can try this terminal command which might at least help partially for now (quit BTT first)

defaults write com.hegenberg.BetterTouchTool BTTClipboardManagerShowTextEditToolbar NO

Legend :crown: That fixed the issue. Thanks so much.

Didn't work for me on Public beta 2 -- will try to move back to Alfred for the moment, trying to use Spotlight's clipboard manager the last week confirms it is not worth it (still great to have a basic interface built-in)...

this definitely works to fix the UI issue! Make sure to quit BTT first.

I probably have another issue, but CM stays totally blank when copying text:

I tried to disable Spotlight's clipboard thinking it was conflicting but still no entries in BTT CM. Alfred's CM is working with spotlight CM on or off.

I solved it by deleting the preset and creating another one. Give it a try.
