App randomly pops up

Hi,

I have an old version of the app (v 2.428) since I can't upgrade with the license I have. Problem is the app keeps on popping up randomly, even when watching videos. This problem came up randomly since I haven't touched the app in years, can't say exactly when because I'm bad at timekeeping and my mac has gathered dust for a while. I've upgraded from Mojave to Sonoma recently and I still have this problem.

Mac Mini
3.2 GHz 6-Core Intel Core i7
MacOs Sonoma 14.4.1

This version is from early 2018, I really don't remember any details about it. Maybe somebody else here on the forum has encountered this before with that version.
