Anyone having issues with pinch to zoom?

Are any of you using the macOS window manager Magnet? Because I had this issue FOREVER and it stopped when I uninstalled Magnet.

I used to use Magnet in the past. But when I realized I could do the same with BTT and I replaced it with it. I still have this problem at least every couple of days and it doesn't happen when I disable BTT. I'm pretty sure it's caused by BTT.

It's caused by a bug in macOS that happens if any app is running which uses an API called CGEventTaps in a specific way (intercepting). That's why it can happen when either BTT or Magnet are running (and many more apps are affected). I have tried to add various workarounds to lower the rate of this happening, but it doesn't seem possible to workaround completely.

In this discussion you'll find an Apple Script that you can be triggered by any action, it should reenable the pinch to zoom feature as long as it's toggled in the same window when the problem appears (at least that's my impression). @Andreas_Hegenberg left also a terminal command in that same discussion that could be run once and that should take care of the bug all by itself. I'm not sure though if it's still good for use or outdated by now? Many great changes in BTT recently, too many to remember them all!

Hello people, could this problem be solved somehow? I am on BTT 3.389 and OSX 10.14.6 and it is bothering me. To make pinch to zoom work I need to totally quit BTT. And I have noticed that the failure occures when the Mac wakes up from sleep. Afterwards pinch to zoom will not work when BTT is running...

For now I could solve the issue totally by diasblbing a pinc-to zoom action I had for the Finder. Now Pinch to zoom for Previews in the finder seem to work again.
