I’m building out a pretty elaborate Snap Area layout across multiple displays and apps, and while BetterTouchTool gives me incredible flexibility on positioning and behavior, I’m running into a major UX pain:
There’s currently no way to name a Snap Area — or at least, no name or ID is visible or editable when managing or editing one. This makes it very difficult to manage multiple Snap Areas with similar dimensions or overlapping placements.
I seem to recall that older versions (or legacy UI?) used to show labels like “Snap Area #1”, etc. But in the current version (5.622 / 2025091514), even the edit popup window doesn’t expose a name field or identifier. This slows down configuration and makes documentation tricky.
It would be extremely helpful if Snap Areas had:
• A user-editable name field
• Or at least a read-only ID label visible when editing
• Or some way to tag or visually distinguish Snap Areas from one another
This would greatly improve workflows for users with complex window snapping environments.
