AI chat scrolling stops over black message areas, resumes over gray margin

Note:
Before bug reporting, please make sure you have tried the latest (alpha) version of BetterTouchTool and that you have already tried to restart your system :-). If you encounter a crash, please attach a crash log from the macOS Console.app's "Crash Reports" section.

Describe the bug

In BTT’s floating AI Config Assistant chat window, scrolling stops when the pointer is over a black assistant-message area. Both my Bluetooth mouse and built-in trackpad are affected.

Moving the pointer into the surrounding dark-gray margin immediately restores scrolling without clicking.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Open the floating AI chat window with enough conversation content to scroll.
  2. Position the pointer over a black assistant-message area and scroll.
  3. When scrolling stops, move the pointer into the dark-gray margin beside the messages.
  4. Scroll again without clicking—scrolling immediately works again.

Expected behavior:
The conversation should scroll whether the pointer is over a message or the surrounding margin.

Additional observations:

  • The interruption occurs even while the pointer remains inside the chat window

  • Switching from the mouse to the trackpad does not resolve it while the pointer remains over the affected area.

  • Clicking inside the panel can also restore scrolling.

  • The active application name in the macOS menu bar does not change.

  • Other application windows do not appear affected.

  • Unused BTT mouse-scroll bindings were removed, but this behavior persisted.

  • Current workaround:
Position the pointer over the dark-gray margin beside the messages when scrolling.
