As AI local models are more and more powerful it would be great idea to add AI accelerated typing suggestions and autocorrection in BTT. I'm thinking about similar functionality as in Cotypist app (https://cotypist.app/). This would be great improvement to present BTT keyboard shortcuts, key sequences and clipboard features.
Interesting idea … especially for foreign languages. Well, for some people, their own language is foreign enough.

this is better suited for a separate app like cotypist or even better directly integrated into the system (aI guess there will be some announcements at WWDC).
Daniel uses many tricks to make cotypist work like it does. E.g. it overlays an invisible window with the typing suggestions over the window you are typing in. Getting this right and make it look & feel integrated is a lot work.
Unfortunately I also agree that Daniel’s Cotypist pricing is too high.
I do have some plans to make „inline ai“ possible based on your current input, but I won’t be able to integrate it as nicely as cotypist.
Has anyone already had the chance to test Cotypist? The app tries to predict how a sentence you’re currently writing will end. Doesn’t that require so many resources that typing gets noticeably delayed?
I personally like the idea of one app which makes a lot of things - this is why BTT looks best suited. Even if it will not work "as nicely" as Cotypist, it can work good enough. The same is with clipboard monitoring - there are apps which make it "nicely" but BTT does what it is needed to make it useful.
You have made a lot of work for menus/launcher etc. so maybe some AI typing aid will appear in near future.
