Actions to switch the resolution and brightness of external display

I’ve been using MonitorControl to control the brightness of my external display from the keyboard, and Parallel Tools to switch the resolution. There are too many utilities for me.

Are there specific actions available to switch the resolutin and adjust the brightness of my external display? If no such actions are available, are there any workaround?

Hi @bugrasan,

Check out displaymode CLI (see instructions here GitHub - p00ya/displaymode: a command-line utility for changing the display resolution on macOS). You can call the CLI using the BTT's execute terminal command action.

Are you well versed in using the terminal?

i was hoping for a BTT builtin solution. even CLI shouldn’t be a problem, i can’t run unsigned package on this specific device.

I ended up switching to using a BenQ display. Their app “Display Pilot” can sync their display’s colour gamma with Mac, and control resolution, audio, and brightness from any connected keyboard and menubar.
