Is there a way to ignore accidental touches when the index finger is on the trackpad?
I'm finding that my third finger sometimes accidentally touches the pad when I am moving the cursor and that triggers a whole host of unwanted actions.
Have a look at the sensitivity within the touchpad settings, might solve you problems.
