Title: 3-Finger Swipe Up Copies /Users/bakari/Desktop/ Path Despite No Visible Triggers
Issue:
When I perform a 3-finger swipe up gesture on my trackpad:
- Browser frontmost â Copies current URL to clipboard â (expected)
- Browser NOT frontmost â Copies /Users/bakari/Desktop/ path to clipboard â (unexpected)
Key observations:
- No "Recently Used Triggers" entry shows copy/path actions
- Trigger persists even after quitting apps that use the gesture
- Brief colored overlay flash appears (BTT visual feedback)
- Control+Option+K and Control+Shift+6 also trigger same behavior
What I've tried (in BTT Preferences):
text
**â
Keyboard Shortcuts tab â No ââĽK, ââ§6, ââ§8, or path-copy shortcuts found
â
Trackpad tab â Searched "3 finger", "swipe up", "copy", "path", "finder"
â No matching triggers visible in "For All Apps" or "Trackpad" groups
â
Disabled ALL triggers in "Trackpad" group â Copying CONTINUES
â Disabled ALL triggers in "For All Apps" â Copying STOPS â
â
Quit BTT completely â No copying â (confirms BTT source)
â
Changed ââ§6 â ââ§8 â Copying persists (gesture sends original shortcuts?)
Current theory:** Hidden/nested 3-finger swipe up trigger lives inside "For All Apps" subgroup (possibly collapsed Trackpad preset) that copies:
⢠If browser â URL
Else â Finder path (/Users/bakari/Desktop/)
Can anyone help locate this ghost trigger? How do I expand/show all nested triggers under "For All Apps"? Or is there a debug/log to see exactly which trigger fires on 3-finger swipe up?
The screenshot shows what happens when the trigger runs.
