12 button mouse how to assign buttons?

I just bought a 12 button mouse and was wondering if I can use it with BTIT. Is it possible to assign 12 button mouse to different actions? I find all buttons are either not recognized, or they are pre assigned to numbers from 1, 2, 3, 4, , 5 and so on. How can I configure this mouse?

Try it with “Generic devices”→ Analyser. BTT should detect every keystroke so you can use it as trigger

I didn’t know that there were mice with so many buttons… what do people use them for, in a non-gaming context?

I’m trying to think of what kind of operations it could help with.
