By the way, I recently added a safe mode that might be helpful in case BetterTouchTool enters a crash loop:
defaults write com.hegenberg.BetterTouchTool BTTSafeModeEnabled YES
By the way, I recently added a safe mode that might be helpful in case BetterTouchTool enters a crash loop:

Thanks again.
what exactly does the safe mode do?
Basically disables all action execution in BTT, so a problematic action won't crash BTT and you can modify / delete it.
Fixed! Thanks
@Andreas_Hegenberg Hi, The safe mode is causing some troubles in my touch bar:
Once I disable the Safe mode:
I guess that this is the point of that mode to have BTT basically not running any script in that safe mode. Two days ago, I miss configure one webview and BTT entered an infinite loop. That mode would have simplify my life in order to solve that.
Exactly
Thanks for the info, it's my bad...
BTW, @oliviermattelaer do you encounter issue 3 as well (no result when clicking the Run Script)?
@Andreas_Hegenberg Is there a way to get the state of the Caps Lock on macOS? I would like either an indicator on the touchbar to show when CapsLock is on or a HUD overlay to be shown since the OS doesn't have builtin support for this.
@Andreas_Hegenberg co-worker of mine is experiencing a showstopping launch crash on the latest 3.335. I confirmed the issue on their machine and grabbed a crash report for you: BetterTouchTool_2020-02-24-102602_Julians-MacBook-Pro.crash (97.7 KB)
Looks like he might be running a app which doesn't have an app name (which I think is not allowed on macOS, but I'll catch it anyways with the next update)
BTT has been freezing for me when trying to connect to a bluetooth device on the latest alpha. Do you know what could be causing this issue?
v3.336
BUG: Next Events Widget, BTT Internal Calendar view, looks like a bug when trying to select or change the calendar name of a new or current displayed event. Unable to change the calendar name, always seems to create an event using default (When creating an event), and when viewing an event in BTT Internet Calendar view, you cannot change the Calendar from what is currently set.
Update: Also looks like a Calendar Widget bug, displays all my events twice for a given date.
FYI the crash was fixed in 3.336
I have a bug since multiple versions: Whenever I press the command key it shows the touchbar items I assigned to it and hides the main Touchbar, like intended. But when I let go of the command key, It stays like that, until I press another of the control keys (option, control, fn, shift), and only then switches back to the main touchbar. Is that intended behavior or a new setting?
I always had it like this:

Earlier it switched back to the main Touchbar as soon as I'd let go of the command key, the other control keys still act like that.
I can't seem to reproduce this here, what kind of keyboard are you using?
Just the built-in keyboard of my 2018 MacBook Pro 13".
Sometimes after a BTT update, an error alert will display saying "Code signature is broken" and BTT will lock up (disabled with no way to re-enable it). The fix is to quit BTT, and restart it. Not a huge issue but I have seen it around 10 times in the last 1-2 months.
@Archez that could be a hint to an upcoming hardware failure. The code signature is checked by macOS and BTT uses this info to make sure it has not been modified. If you also see random crashes or the like it could be a defective disk or defective ram.
It could however also be some software issue, in the past similar things have been caused by third party unzip apps or virus scanners.
@BetterMac, could you maybe provide an export of your preset? Then I can try to reproduce it with that. If you want you can send it to andreas@folivora.ai
Hey, it appears that the bluetooth device toggle does not work anymore in the latest alpha. When using wildcards it also hangs for a moment, but when selecting the device from the menu it also fails to connect.
