In the preferences experimental new UI: snap top left, top right, bottom left, bottom right are all not selected, while in the "old" UI "corners resize to quarters is selected (on). See screenshots.

the ones for "when using predefined actions" are below the normal mouse snapping ones in the new UI (your screenshot cuts them off). Are they checked?
