# When BTT is running the clipboard is cleared after approx. every 2 mins or less

**Describe the bug**  
M1 Macbook Pro  
Steps to produce

- start BTT
- copy any normal string
- wait for 2 mins (or even less)
- try to paste the string.. it wont .. the clipboard is empty

(works normally if BTT is Quit)

**Device information:**

- Type of Mac: M1 MacBook Pro (16-inch, 2021)
- macOS version: 12.5 (21G72)
- BetterTouchTool version: 3.821

this sounds like some configuration issue, BTT doesn’t modify the clipboard by itself. Maybe you have assigned cmd+c to some trigger?

Do you have the BTT clipboard manager active?
