Recently updated to version 2.856. I just tried changing my Touch Bar weather widget's coordinates to a new location in the new UI (have always done this manually, auto checkbox is off), but the numbers would never save. Tried making a new weather widget; it would save all my preferences except for the coordinates. As a last resort I switched back to the old UI and put in the numbers as usual; new coordinates now save very well.
If there's something I'm missing about saving weather widget locations manually in the new UI, please let me know! The new UI looks great and I'd love to be able to use it generally. Thanks.
