Utf8 symbols does not works any more as Touch Bar button text

Describe the bug
I have set up custom Touch Bar buttons on MacBook Pro TB and set utf8 symbols like , , 
And worked well, but in some of updates it stopped works, I can see only question marks.

Affected input device (e.g. MacBook Trackpad, Magic Mouse/Trackpad, Touch Bar, etc.):
MacBook Touch Bar
