I am using HyperKey app and have set a keyboad shortcut Hyperkey+N to open something.
I also have configured bettertouchtool with another shortcut only in Finder, Cmd+N, to open something.
But pressing Hyper+N in finder is triggering Cmd+N. And similarly other shortcuts with different letter also have the same issue.
Hyper+T is triggering Cmd+T in Finder etc.
Is this expected behavior?
Better configure the hyper key in BTT, this way it will not interfere:
BTT hyper key hasn’t been reliable for me at all.
It stops working as a hyper key randomly, and as a Caps Lock as well.
when have you last tried it? There have been many improvements a few month ago and I haven't encountered issues with it since.
Just yesterday only I tried. Also, I read on this forum that’s it’s mainly only for BTT actions, not third party application use.
it's for all third party use as well, but of course it shouldn't stop working. Had you closed the other hyper key app when you tried it?
Yes. Was only using BTT at that time and that too in safe mode to isolate the issue, as I have had this problem since forever.
Safe mode disables most of BTT's functionality, including stuff that is very important for the hyper key, so that would not help with isolating the issue.
Did you use the standard hyper key setup? i.e. caps lock with the "act as hyperkey" action assigned? What kind of keyboard are you using?

Yes, I used the standard setup of hyper key.
Using the macbook’s keyboard only.
How often did it stop working for you? If you can reproduce the issue, it would be great if you'd send me the logs from ~/Library/Application Support/BetterTouchTool/Logs (andreas@folivora.ai)
Sure, I’ll stop HyperKey and start using BTT hyperkey and send you the logs.
If possible please use the latest BTT alpha (6.137) because that might contain some more logging in this area
I’m using BTT hyper key and will back soon.
I do not see an option to make it work as a normal caps lock if hyper key isn’t used. I know there used to be one but after this new update, I do not see that.
