Use Function Key Remappings On Lock Screen?

Hi. I recently started using BTT and just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing anything. I've remapped the Apple special media key functions from F5 and F6 to decrease/increase the keyboard backlight (as it used to/should be), but I've not been able to get this working on the macOS lock screen, which is where I probably need it the most.

I saw a thread mentioning secure input mode being active on the lock screen, but Karabiner-Elements is able to achieve this media Fn key remapping there, seemingly without issue.

So i'm just curious if there is actually a way to use BTT to accomplish this and save me from having to use another application just for this single tweak, or would it require significantly deeper system privileges from BTT which I imagine would be outside the scope of the project?

you’ll need karabiner elements for this (it works on a much lower level and can bypass secure input)
