Universal window layout without window names

Hi there,

is it possible to restore the window layout without specifying a window name or document? I want to bring single window apps into layout which often have different documents opened. Is there an alternative command for "windowTitle" or an wildcard? Maybe the window number (1) would help in my case.

I was trying to create a default layout for arranging the 4 currently open Finder windows so they do not overlap.

At the moment, I think this is not possible with the save/restore specific layout action.

I think this would be an awesome feature:

  • get number of open windows of active application
  • get saved default layout for number of windows (possibly app specific)
  • restore layout
