I paired a new out-of-the-box Siri remote with my mac (no Apple TV, remote bought separately). But BTT shows a red "no Siri remote found" warning...
Resetting the BT driver and the connected BT devices did not help.
Neither did system restart.
Type of Mac: MacBook Pro (13-inch, Late 2016, Two Thunderbolt 3 ports)
macOS version: 10.12.6
BetterTouchTool version: 2.689
Siri remotes only work with macOS >= 10.13 (as far as I know)
//mhh I think I'm wrong, it should also work on 10.12. Does it show in your Bluetooth devices? Did you follow these steps:
?
Can you try whether the actions still work, even if it shows not connected?

Thank you Andreas. Indeed I now updated from 10.12 to 10.13 (unfortunately there are issues with a few programs) - but siri remote does connect now. Thank you very much for the hint!
Best regards,
Paul
