Trigger setting to work no matter what app is currently open?

Greetings! i'm a brand new user of BTT. Just learning the ropes here. I have managed to create one trackpad trigger that works and also working on a second one. Both actions work when hitting the Play to test them and when the particular app or context is the selected one. Meaning, I created an action for Chrome that works when Chrome is the selected app. I created another for Finder when I've selected Finder.

I believe I read somewhere there is a setting so that the gestures will be recognized no matter what the current active app is. Where can i find that setting?

that would be a gesture "For All Apps"

oooh, i see. I was starting with triggers for the app itself so they only worked when that app was selected. If i set them to start "For All Apps" it becomes a global trigger? That's awesome, thanks so much for responding.
