I would find very useful a shortcut to "switch to the last desktop". With this shortcut I could travel easily from (for example) desktop 8 and 1, do something, and then go back from 1 to 8 using the same shortcut. Now you will need to do first a Switch to desktop 1, and then a Switch to desktop 8 - two different shortcuts.
Is there a workaround or a way to do this?
