Sound Pref can't be accessed

Hi,

Hope someone can help with this :slight_smile:

I often switch my sound devices on my Mac preferences. The shortcut for this is option(and the sound icon on Mac keyboard). When I try to input this only the volume is registered but not the option. Is there a way of solving this?
