Tried to remap spotlight key to launchpad, but its not working @Andreas_Hegenberg

Ah the spotlight key listed in the dropdown was an old one from older Apple keyboards.
With 6.878 I have added an easier way to record the keys by clicking the "Record From Key..." and "Record To Key..." buttons
The correct name (now added) is Spotlight / Search (Consumer). However I currently don't have a keyboard with a launchpad key, thus can not test what that would do on macOS Golden Gate
Earlier this remap spotlight to launchpad (app list)- I am hoping this could trigger the same thing but in the new spotlight (via the thumb and 3 finger pinch in)

just a key available on some keyboards 
These names are sometimes not very useful, the new recording buttons should make it much easier to choose the right key!

Also is there any way to trigger spotlight and pop at root search (empty text field)? Wanna do ⌘ space that pop me to the root search @Andreas_Hegenberg
Does spotlight not always open at root? What is visible if you open it with cmd+space?
No it does always open at root, it just open the last typed thing! A content creator also complaint about it

you could probably do something like this (select all & delete after showing spotlight)
I have fully switched to BTT's launcher by now, maybe that is another option
