Hello, I created the simple key sequence below (Rt opt down → Rt Ctrl up and down) to simply paste "→ "
I use an Apple Magic Keyboard latest generation with numeric keypad.
I find that there is a slight delay in the paste which slows down my workflow and which obviously applies to all such triggers.
What would be best to make the paste as fast as possible ?
thank you
there is no way to paste faster (it should already be really fast). How long is the delay you are experiencing?
There will always be some delay because BTT needs to catch your key sequence, put the characters in your clipboard and send the paste shortcuts, however it should only be a few milliseconds.
//edit: ah you have the sequence set to wait for other input for 0,49s that will cause the delay
2 conclusions
- you are right: I set the delay to zero and this solved the problem
- I am an idiot which is already well known.
Do you think that you would have the patience either a link to an explanation or provide a practical guide on how to use/set the following from 1 to 4
I had a problem in the past and you instructed me to set item "3" below to 0.5 and that's what I now do routinely without thinking.
I know what the sentences mean but I have no clue as to how to use them
thank you very much @Andreas_Hegenberg
With your example. The trigger only works if
-
no other key is pressed for x seconds before you press r opt.
-
the whole sequence must take place in 0.3 seconds. If it lasts longer, nothing is triggered.
-
you know that now
-
I rarely need it. I would use it for “long press”. Assuming you only want something to be triggered if shift is held for at least 0.45 s and then released, it would look like this
thank you very much @Frank1 !
I am configuring a series of key sequences, only using modifier keys right and left ⌃, ⌥ and ⇧, as well as the globe (Fn) key. No letters or numbers.
What would you recommend for those settings ?
thanks again
