# set\_persistent\_variable does not seem to be persistent

**Describe the bug**  
I've been creating persistent variables (mostly string variables) via BTT webserver endpoints - they work great, but they does not seem to persist between relaunches.

If I set persistent variable in one BTT lifetime - get\_string\_variable for example returns it just fine. But after killing the BTT process, and relaunching it, the response is empty ☹

**Affected input device (e.g. MacBook Trackpad, Magic Mouse/Trackpad, Touch Bar, etc.):**  
Webserver

@Andreas_Hegenberg could you confirm that this bug exists, just so I know that it's not an issue with something on my side?

Edit: I'm terribly sorry - didn't see the latest alpha channel in a while. Everything works as it should!

ah yes, sorry. Forgot to reply here but I fixed it in the latest alpha 🙂
