When Apple announced their touchbar I was excited because I thought this was the main idea behind the touchbar but I got massively disappointed.
In my opinion the single most useful usecase of the touchbar would have been to directly see on the touchbar display what you are typing in your browser searchbar textfield instead of just using it for virtual buttons.
The screen sits directly at your keyboard so you woudn't have to constanly switch between looking up to the searchbar to see what you typed and back down to your keyboard.
Wouldn't this be doable now with BTT and applescript? To read out the content of the chrome/safari searchbar and then returning it to the touchbar?
