Safari File;Share;Reminders randomly not running

Description
A Touch Bar button with an action Trigger Menubar Menu-Item works randomly. If I set it to File;Share;Reminders or anything else under File;Share sometimes it works every third time, sometimes fourth, it's random.

The time it works, I can see "File" blinking in menu bar. Seems like something's not starting the menu bar triggering at all.

Other buttons like back, forward and show reader view work flawlessly.

Device information:

  • Type of Mac: MacBook Pro M1 2020
  • macOS version: 12.2
  • BetterTouchTool version: 3.735

If this happens it means the item is currently not available. BTT looks through the items and only if the one you specified is currently enabled and available it can trigger them.

You could try to set a keyboard shortcut for the menubar item in System Preferences => Keyboard => Shortcuts => App Shortcuts and trigger that shortcut with BTT, but most likely it will result in the same behavior.

I set it just now to command+control+9. Works every time!

Any debug logs I can check on BetterTouchTool?

no, this is most likely some limitation with the menubar then.
It seems like these only become available after opening the file menu, this makes it impossible to reliably trigger them without opening the file menu item, but I’ll check if I can add a workaround that quickly opens the menu and then closes it again.
