I configured a keyboard shortcut to the Action "Maximize Window" which works as expected. It would be nice if you could change the behaviour of the action so that the previous windows state is restored when the button is pressed again. So I can (un)maximize the window with one single action resp. key.

So if I understand that correctly, I have to setup two shortcuts, one for maximizing and saving the state and one for restoring the previously saved state. Is that correct?
That's exactly how I do it. 
If you only want one trigger, it might work with a cycle action?
