I was sure that I had exported my setup but I can't find where I saved it. I had full system corruption and ended up DFU my MacBook.
I have a carbon copy backup of the Mac but as it's Apple Silicon, it's not easy or likely possible to boot into that image. But I wonder if there is a way to copy extract the setup for BTT from the image (or Time Machine) for that matter.
I don't want to have to start relearning what I did to make the setup worked if possible. All the data is likely there, just don't know what to copy or how to extract it into a working format
Yes you can copy this folder:
/Users/youruseraccount/Library/Application Support/BetterTouchTool
Yes.. that was the obvious and was tried but yet it just didn’t seem to do anything. There was a whole lot of entries inside there and yet when I open up BTT there is not one item inside the configuration tool.
So I came here to see if it also requires this this and this for here sort of thing.
It’s starting to feel like either something isn’t getting copied or I’m relearning and going to do a far better job of documenting for recall sake and backup backup and then test to see if the backup actually works
if you want you can send the zipped folder to me (andreas@folivora.ai), then I check it. That folder also contains multiple backups in case one of them is corrupted
