# Press and Hold Keyboard Shortcuts

Hey everyone I’m using a Pie Menu / Action Ring–style app on macOS (similar to the action rings on Logitech MX Master 4). The menu is triggered using the keyboard shortcut **Ctrl + Z** , and I want to control this using **Mouse Button 3** in BetterTouchTool. The goal is for the shortcut to behave like a real press-and-hold action.

Specifically, when I **press and hold Mouse Button 3** , Ctrl + Z should stay pressed, and when I **release the mouse button** , the keys should be released as well. Right now, mapping the shortcut directly only triggers it once. What’s the correct BTT setup to handle **key down on mouse press** and **key up on mouse release** separate down/up triggers, a script, or some advanced option I’m missing?

Update: I figured how to do it but I can't hover on the actions, it doesnt trigger if I press mouse button but works perfectly if I use the keyboard

I was looking for something like this, now its only available under Floating Menu Configuration
