Possible to open an App from within a Touch Bar Group, without losing the Group?

Hi all,

Is it possible to open an App from within a Touch Bar Group, without losing the Group? I seem to keep reverting back to the main Touch Bar when I open an app from within a Group, and I'm trying to keep the Group open.

Any suggestions? thx!

Add a second action to the button.

  1. Open app XY
  2. Open Touch Bar group YZ

If I understood correctly, checking this box on the group should also achieve this:

I had tried "Open Touch Bar group YZ" after "Open app XY" -- but that didn't seem to work.

However, checking "Keep group open while switching apps" (sorry, I hadn't noticed that) did seem to do the trick.
