Hi:
Is there an option where I would be able to change the settings so that I can move the mouse pointer around with two or three fingers? This would be much more comfortable for me, instead of tiring my poor index finger.

unfortunately this is not possible with BetterTouchTool - Apple would need to integrate such a feature in their trackpad driver
