Hi! Incredible app, I'm late to the party.
There's some Magic Trackpad gestures that would be nice:
Touchdown with N fingers, lift all but 1 - then e.g. use remaining finger to hover and release on a floating menu item, to make that one fluid sequence.
Touchdown with N fingers, slide one of them in some direction as a gesture - is what I thought the tip tap was.
This is called a TipSwipe in BTT, however only TipSwipes with two fingers fixed are supported currently. (they are pretty complicated and really hard to integrate with the macOS trackpad behavior)
Cheers for the quick response!
Ive seen the 'Release last finger' gesture, but this triggers only when the last finger is released - I was hoping to trigger the floating menu by releasing all but one finger, and then trigger a hovered item by releasing the final finger. So effectively that 0-touch gesture would need another intermediate trigger. Charmstone app, which just does the floating pie app picker, does it like this and I thought that gesture is very neat.
Interesting that the TipSwipe is tough.
It would be very interesting to implement a parameter for the area the finger touches, so that you could measure the force with which your finger touches the trackpad.
